Why Choose Eyebrow Lamination?
Are your brows naturally thin or gappy? Did you over pluck your brows when you were younger? Do your brow hairs grow in different unruly directions? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then brow lamination is for you!
Brow trends are forever changing, which is why this non-invasive treatment is often chosen over microblading due to its non committal result.
Eyebrow Lamination Process
This process takes 45-60 minutes, starting with a perming solution used to soften the protein bonds of the hairs, allowing the technician to ‘lift’ or reposition the hairs to the clients preference. Softening the proteins of the hairs means the brows can be brushed into a new, desired direction (upwards for a fuller, fluffier look or into a more uniform and defined finish)
A setting lotion is applied to the brows after the hairs are arranged into your chosen style. This solution re-establishes the bonds in the hair, locking the hairs into the newly shaped position. The setting solution ensures that the brows stay in their new shape for an extended period.
Lamination Result
The result is smoother, fuller, and more defined brows that look more voluminous and well-groomed. The lamination effect lasts anywhere from 6 to 10 weeks, depending on your natural brow growth and how well you care for them after the treatment.
Your brows may look flat and shiny for the first 24-48 hours after your treatment. Don’t worry, after that they will settle down and become the fluffy, beautiful brows you wanted in no time!
Don’t forget to book your Lamination Maintenance appointment in 3-4 weeks!
Before your appointment…
- Make sure your brows hairs are their original length and have not been cut with scissors.
- Avoid scheduling an appointment on an important day, the brows look best after 24 – 48 hours.
- If you are booking a Shape and/or Tint alongside your Lamination please check the information for these treatments on their individual treatment pages.
Aftercare
- Keep the eyebrows dry, avoid excessive rubbing or touching of the brows and avoid sleeping on your face for the first 24 hours.
- Eyebrow Lamintion does not permanently set your hairs into the position they have been laminated in. All you need to do is brush them into your chosen style every morning and after getting them wet.
- It is extremely important to keep your brows hydrated and conditioned. Castor oil and a good quality hair conditioner are ByBeccaBarcelona recommendations. Add a little oil to your eyebrows every day and a use conditioner 1-2 times a week.
- You wouldn’t undergo a chemical treatment on your head hair without conditioning and caring for it, your brows should be no different!
- Consistency is key with your aftercare and is crucial to a long lasting healthy lamination!
